Our favorite clients and projects almost always come from referral. This program is meant to incentivize the wonderful humans we’ve encountered in our lives to continue sharing Bread with their networks. TLDR; In exchange for a warm intro that converts into a Bread client, you get 5% of the first year’s revenue

What’s the ideal client profile?
Startup that wants to move faster. Either hasn’t built out a product team or their team is committed elsewhere.
Mature Company that wants to reimagine an existing product or build a new one. Either doesn’t have a suitable in-house team or their team is committed elsewhere.
What size budget should the client expect?
Note: these values are directional and subject to change.

Not necessary. We can step into those shoes and we’re comfortable doing so. Then, at the right time, we can help the company hire for those roles should it make sense.
The Agreement

This Referral Agreement (“Agreement”) is made [The Date] by and between Made By Bread, LLC. (“Company”) and [Your Name] (“Affiliate”).
Purpose. The Company is in the business of product design and development. The Company is looking for new clients. Affiliate is in a position to refer potential new clients to the Company.
Referral Arrangement. Upon execution of this Agreement, the Affiliate may, from time to time, refer potential clients to the Company. The Company will pay Affiliate a fee for those referrals.
Compensation. Company will pay Affiliate a fee for all referrals that become new paying clients. The fee shall be equal to 5% (five percent) of bookings within 12 months of the referral date. The fee shall be payable to Affiliate within 15 days of Company’s collection from client.
Guidelines. Affiliate shall make warm introductions to potential clients that Affiliate knows (or reasonably believes) are in the market for services offered by Company. Post referral, Company shall update Affiliate on a bi-weekly basis. Updates shall include details on conversations, engagements, and billings. Company, in its sole discretion, is responsible for evaluating and ultimately engaging new clients.
Relationship. Affiliate is an independent contractor. Affiliate shall be entitled to no other compensation or benefits beyond the referral fee. Affiliate will receive a 1099 at year end.
Term. This Agreement shall commence upon the date fully executed by both parties and last for a period of 1 year.
Termination. Either party may terminate this Agreement upon 30 days notice. Upon termination, Company shall pay Affiliate all outstanding amounts owed. Company shall continue to pay Affiliate for any fees generated from Affiliate’s referrals post termination.
Confidentiality. Affiliate will become aware of certain non-public information of the Company. Affiliate shall hold such information in strict confidence. This provision shall survive termination.
